Vinyl Silicone Oil Overview

Vinyl silicone oil mainly includes vinyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (Vi-PDMS) and vinyl-terminated polymethylvinylsiloxane (Vi-PMVS). Different viscosity and vinyl content grades can be supplied according to application requirements.

Vinyl silicone oil can be classified into vinyl-terminated silicone oil and high-vinyl silicone oil. It is used as an important raw material for addition-cure liquid silicone rubber and silicone gels, and can also be used as a modifier for silicone rubber compounds, plastic additives and reinforcing materials.

Applications

Vinyl silicone oil can be used in:

  • Thermal conductive silicone sheets for new energy
  • Thermal conductive silicone encapsulants
  • Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)
  • Thermal conductive silicone materials
  • Silicone color pastes
  • Injection-molded silicone rubber
  • Addition-cure electronic encapsulants
  • Silicone inks
  • Addition-cure sealants
  • Defoamers

Vinyl Silicone Oil Grades

The TVF series covers a wide viscosity range from 50 mPa·s to 200,000 mPa·s, with vinyl content from 0.12% up to 4.10%. Low-viscosity grades (TVF-L-50, TVF-100) suit high-vinyl-content applications, while high-viscosity grades (TVF-H-10W, TVF-H-20W) are preferred where stronger reinforcement or higher molecular weight is needed. Storage & Handling

Keep containers flat during transport and avoid impact or heavy stacking. Store in a ventilated, temperature- and humidity-controlled environment. Shelf life is 1 year from the date of production.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is vinyl silicone oil used for?
Vinyl silicone oil is a key raw material for addition-cure liquid silicone rubber, silicone gels, thermal conductive silicone sheets and encapsulants, as well as a modifier for rubber compounds and a plastic/reinforcing additive.

How do I choose the right viscosity of vinyl silicone oil?
Choose based on your formulation and processing: lower viscosity grades give higher flowability and vinyl content, while higher viscosity grades offer stronger reinforcement and better mechanical performance. Our team can help match the right grade to your application.

Can I get custom vinyl content or viscosity?
Different viscosity and vinyl content grades can be supplied according to application requirements. Please share your target parameters and our team will advise.
